Traditional House Covered in Red

January 22nd, 2010 Posted in Culture, Sabah, Tourism

Still at the KDCA grounds browsing through the many stalls set up there in conjunction with the coming 2010 Chinese New Year celebration.  I’m not sure but I bet having it at the KDCA grounds with all the traditional house, does have some political connotation to it.  Sure enough…the ONE MALAYSIA slogan is there.  Anyways it was night time when I took these pictures but I can’t help noticing how they turned our local traditional houses into ONE Malaysia concept.  But I’m sure if there are other similar traditional settings, it would look the same.  The same goes for if decorations were put up on myrtle beach condos.  It happens that the KDCA ground was just convenient.   Here are sample pictures of a traditional Rungus longhouse decorated with CNY lanterns.
