Testing our Alza
April 3rd, 2010 Posted in GeneralLate Thursday nite we decided to witness this year’s Kalimaran celebration at the Murut Cultural Centre. Since we just got our Alza oil-serviced for the first time earlier that day, we thought of using our Alza. We left Penampang mid-afternoon on Friday (yesterday) and chose to use the Kimanis route to Keningau for the night’s stay. No doubt the Kimanis route is shorter but also the steepest and most challenging for the uninitiated. It was the best route to test the engine power of our new Alza. The verdict? The car handled the steep slopes very well, I only used 1st gear once and rarely on 2nd. I was on 3rd, 4th and even 5th more. Of course there were only two adults and a child. Although I’ve driven through this route a number of times, it’s still is literally an eye-opening experience. I’m not sure you would want to go for a discount prescription glasses cos’ your eyes are sure to be clear on the way down. I’m glad we chose this car.
