Strange creatures at Aquaria

March 13th, 2010 Posted in bizzare, General, Kuala Lumpur

This is probably my fourth time visiting Aquaria at KLCC but I’ve never grown tired of it.  It’s a little expensive but I think it’s worth the sights.  There are many strange creatures to be seen that are not normally found here.  I like the sea horse exhibit the most.  I think they are at the top of my list of strangeness. You will notice the male seahorse with large bellies.  You might think they are filled with food and in need of some glucomannan. In actual fact, the male horse is impregnated with by female with eggs to be fertilised inside the male!  Yes a pregnant male.

Another strange creature is the Nautilus from the cephalopod family Nautilidae.  It’s a strange looking shell from which Captain Nemo’s submarine is named after.
