So dry and hot that it burns…
March 14th, 2010 Posted in environment, Photography, SabahThe experts say that the current dry spell we are experiencing will last till the end of April. I certainly hope so cos’ if it doesn’t rain soon, we will surely experience some serious drought. Even now, the air and sky is void of any moisture. There’s open burning everywhere whether it be intentionally or accidental.
Talking about open burning, during our last photo outing at the Tambalang race course, we had witness for ourselves a bush fire just outside the race course. We saw a fire truck from a distance heading for the location of the fire so we instinctively ran towards the fire as if we were photo journalist. We ran so fast that I think lost some weight. So there’s no need for any weight loss pills. Upon reaching the location of the bush fire, the firemen had already started to put out the fires. I’m not sure whether the fire was intentionally created but it surely made the locals staying nearby anxious.

I should’ve taken tons of photos during that mother of all droughts in 1998 (no rain for 6 months) and then that father of all floods in January 1999.
