Sex Not Specified

Scottish-born Norrie May-Welby may be the world’s first legally gender-neutral person.  Yes it’s true.  48 years ago, Norrie May was born as a man but at age 28, ‘he’ decided to become a woman and underwent a sex change.  Now living in Australia  and  years later, feeling uncomfortable with ‘her’ current gender, Norrie decided to become genderless instead.  ‘She’ was legally granted that status earlier this month, however according to her recent blog entry, the government rescinded that decision which made her upset.  I just wonder if the gender-neutral status goes through, what would be the appropriate pronoun reference.  Obviously he or she does not apply. And if  ‘she’ needs to use the common toilets, which one would ‘she’ go to.  Probably it would be just like any parent (s) who are shopping for Bob Revolution strollers.  If this trend catches on,  for sure societies need to make a lot of changes to accommodate a gender-less individual.
