Paying online for groceries
September 18th, 2009 Posted in Business, Web 2.0I think anyone would agree that queuing up at the supermarket checkout counter is no fun at all especially when a major festivity is just around the corner. If it’s possible here in Sabah, I would rather pre-order all my shopping list and pay online, then just go to the supermarket to pick up my shopping bag. Or better still have it delivered to my home. Wouldn’t that be great? Of course as the supermarket owner, you would need your existing POS systems to be integrated with your online payment service.
I believe this kind of system would be beneficial as it will also reduce the traffic jam. And with all the new malls coming up around KK, I’m sure there’ll be a glut of shopping centres. So why not introduce some online ordering systems as a convenience.

The only problem to this would be the freshness of the groceries.

yes..that would be a problem unless there’s a freshness guarantee attached.

StreamyX is so slow ler. The time spent on ordering online would be same as go there shopping. I am already very scared lah coz a few times browser display “page not found” or timeout error after I clicked the submit payment button. ^_^’ The order may have or may not gone thru but line down cannot check already.
