Death of an Eccentric Sultan

It was announced last night that the Sultan of Johor, HRH Sultan Iskandar has passed away. Of all the state sultans, I remember and admire him for his spontaneus acts of eccentricity. During his term as Yang diPertuan Agong, he once stopped a big bike during the Independence Day parade and rode it around the front of the stage prepared for VIPs. When inspecting the guards of honor, he would make sure the soldiers were at their best. He was almost always dressed in millitary uniform. Interestingly,Johor is the only state in Malaysia that has a private army commanded by the royal family. I have never seen HRH smile, perhaps its just a display of power via his stern face. Anyways I could have considered plano cosmetic dentist if I wanted a nice smile. I believe deep inside he has a soft heart. Nevertheless we shall miss him for who he was. May he rest in peace.
