Death by Copper Toxicity
January 7th, 2010 Posted in HealthLast Sunday a couple of my friends and I decided to watch Sherlock Holmes whose character was played by Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law as his sidekick, Dr. Watson. At first I thought that movie would be a typical Sherlock Holmes movies that I’ve seen before, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. Anyways in one of the scene, I was intrigued by a death caused by copper poisoning. A character in the movie, died while taking a bath in a copper tub. Yes one can die from too much copper entering your system that your body cannot metabolize fast enough. So no wonder these days you don’t have any copper sinks around. Should you decide to use anything made of copper, make sure that it is coated.

It’s normally coated with what? How would you know if the coat has peeled off?
