BioInterfacing in Avatar

For those of you who have seen the movie will surely know what I mean.  Yes I’ve finally watched the movie last night with two of my friends.  It was worth it to say the least.  I think this is by far the best James Cameron’s movie I’ve seen.  Even Cameron himself disclosed that it took him 15 years to developed it as the technology back then in 1994 was not available to create this epic (almost).  James Cameron has been one of my favourite director, writer and producer and has made a number of obvious favourite blockbusters such as The Abyss, The Terminator (directed 1 and 2, wrote  no. 3),  Aliens, True Lies and Titanic.

With Avatar, apart from the great computer generated characters and world,  I think the storyline was equally good.  There’s are many themes, message and concerns that parallels the current real world.  But of course what astounds me are the cinematic qualities and actions.  I’m looking forward to see this movie again in 3-D.

Another thing that really fascinated or rather amused me is the biointerfacing acts of the Na’vi, the alien natives of Pandora.  They biointerface with the Pandora environment using the ends of their hair extension, especially useful when they need to hop on to the strange and powerful creatures.  I think it’s kind of a cool thing to have this feature, saves alot of hassle communicating with different protocols.  It’s almost like a Universal Biological Interface adapter.

Anyways, for those who are fans of Cameron’s past movies, this is one that you wouldn’t want to miss out on the cinema.
